Your character’s personality has a direct effect on the way they talk. Your Task: Write 2 brief character descriptions and 1 goal for a scene. Invite 2 people over. Using improvisation, act out the scene 3 or 4 times ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù changing your character’s personality each time. Tape each one and transcribe it. Using one of the writers’ tools in appendix A, answer the question: What have I learned?
This site was initially established by Basil Shadid and produced by being MEdia as a way to develop the screenwriting craft. He wanted exercises that would challenge his abilities as a writer. billie rain, an amazing writer and editor, came on board soon after, to create new exercise ideas and to hone the ideas that already existed.
